Helicopter Tours
New Air Tours has been an "On Demand Helicopter Charter
Operator" in the 4 Corners area for more than 10 years. The
personnel of New Air have over 50 years combined helicopter experience.
We offer Scheduled Tours and Helicopter Charter.
Tours: Of the Magnificent San Juan Mountains.
La Plata Delight (30 minute tour): Departs Animas Airpark and
flies over the old mines at Perins City while en route to La Plata
Canyon. View oil mining sites surrounding the historic towns of
Mayday and La Plata. Climb over Kennebic pass and descend into
the Hermosa Creek drainage while on your return flight to Durango
and the airpark.
Price: $85.00 per person, flight requires a minimum of 3 persons,
and lasts approximately 30 minutes
Mountain Magic (50 minute tour):
Departs Animas Air Park northbound into the beautiful San Juan
Mountains. Overfly Lemon Reservoir while en route to the majestic
Needle Mountains.
This section of the Weminuche Wilderness Area has some of the
most spectacular scenery in all the Colorado Rockies and is home
to many of our famous 14,000 ft. peaks!
Return to Durango via Purgatory Ski Area and the beautiful Animas
River Valley.
Price: $150.00 per person, flight requires a minimum of 3 persons,
and lasts approximately 50 minutes.
On all tours there is the possibility of viewing some of the
wildlife of the area, plus the great diversity of landscapes that
South West Colorado can offer.
The mountain in the three surrounding states are clearly visible
during either tour. We feel that you will be very impressed with
the scenery surrounding Durango. Be sure and bring your camera.

that certain person dropped off, or picked up at a site and flown
to a special event for a reception, party, or showing.
Making an entrance or exit by helicopter will make a lasting
impression on both the guests and the recipient. Statistics show
that flying is one of the safest forms of travel, and the Bell
206 Helicopter is considered by many the Industry to be the safest
single-engine helicopter.
